I’m Rebecca, the caffeinated crocheter behind Crochet Journal!
I started this blog because I truly enjoy crochet and I wanted to both document my own growth with the craft and create a kind, supportive space where people of all skill levels feel welcome. Whether you’re just learning your first stitches, looking for new project ideas or a community of other crocheters - you’ll find honesty and encouragement here.
At Crochet Journal I'll be sharing my first-hand experience as I tackle new crochet projects. You can also find clear, step-by-step crochet tutorials for things I create, pattern roundups, beginner-friendly projects, tips for troubleshooting common mistakes, and honest thoughts on yarns and tools that actually make crocheting more enjoyable. Everything comes straight from my own crochet corner - real projects, the lessons I’ve learned along the way, and plenty of photos to help you along.
When I’m not crocheting, you’ll usually find me watching sports with my husband or BBC crime shows cozy under my electric blanket with my three cats and drinking coffee. Always overly caffeinated.
My earliest memories of crochet are of my grandma crocheting beautiful doilies and veils. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to learn from her. Instead, I taught myself to crochet from online videos and blog posts. My days are always so much better when I spend time in the meditative activity of creating something with my hands, and so I want to contribute and give back to the community that has helped me so much.
